No booking commission

A Mindbody alternative for your studio

No booking commission. Card payments run through your own Stripe account, billed by Stripe, and I take nothing on top. Formwork never holds your money.

No self-serve signup. You get a personal reply, usually within a day.

See the 10 reasons

  1. A freed spot fills itself from the waitlist

When someone cancels, the next person on the waitlist is booked in and emailed that she's in. No staff action, and capacity is enforced by the database, so the last spot can't be sold twice.

  2. Credits live in a ledger, not one number

Memberships, class packs and drop-ins. Every credit is a lot in an auditable ledger, the oldest-expiring credit is spent first, and a cancel in time gives back the exact credit.

  3. Coach out sick? Sub, cancel the class or the whole day

Substitute a coach, cancel one class or a whole day, or add a one-off class, all without touching your weekly template.

  4. Everyone gets only the access they need

Add staff by email as owner, manager or coach. Each role only reaches what it should.

  5. The late-cancel fee actually gets charged

Late cancels, and no-shows on classes you took attendance for, are applied against your published policy automatically. Set the cutoff and fee, or run forfeit-only. Waive one and the money is refunded, the credit comes back and your note is kept.

  6. Members handle the routine stuff themselves

Members book and cancel up to your cutoff, change plan, cancel at renewal and replace their card on their own phone.

  7. Your own Stripe account

You're the merchant of record on your own connected Stripe account; funds settle to your bank. Card payments run through your own Stripe account, billed by Stripe, and I take nothing on top. Formwork never holds your money.

  8. Reports and a home-screen web app are part of the product

Revenue, unused-credit value, fill rate, no-shows and intro conversion reports are built in, and so is the home-screen web app under your studio's name. Ask what's included for your studio when you talk to us.

  9. Your data, all of it, any time

Export 20 data sets as spreadsheets whenever you like, including members, plans, memberships, credit ledger, bookings, waitlist, payments, penalties and discount codes.

  10. Your name on the home screen, plus discount codes

A web app under your studio's name and colors with no "powered by" line, installable to a member's home screen with no app store. Discount codes are built in.

How studios use Formwork

Common situations studio owners describe, and what Formwork does about each.

A one-location gym owner whose 6am class fills up

The problem: The early class sells out, people cancel late, and the owner ends up texting the waitlist between sessions.

What Formwork does: When someone cancels, the next person on the waitlist is booked in and emailed automatically, and capacity is enforced so the last spot can't be sold twice.

The outcome: Freed spots get refilled without the owner touching the phone.

A yoga studio owner tired of chasing late cancels

The problem: The late-cancel policy is posted, but charging the fee by hand feels awkward, so it rarely happens.

What Formwork does: Late cancels and no-shows are applied against the published policy automatically, with a cutoff and fee or forfeit-only. A waived fee is refunded, the credit returns and the note is kept.

The outcome: The policy gets applied the same way every time.

An owner opening a new studio

The problem: Setting up booking software before opening day is one more big job on the list.

What Formwork does: The class template, class types, capacities, packs, drop-ins and policies are entered with the owner and sent back to check. Payments run on the owner's own Stripe account.

The outcome: The owner checks a finished setup instead of learning an admin panel from scratch.

Talk to us

What it costs depends on your studio, so there's no price table here. Card payments run through your own Stripe account, billed by Stripe, and I take nothing on top.

There's no sales team: tell us about your studio and you'll get a reply from the person who builds it, usually within a day.
